Adventures in Pregnancy, a new series starting Sunday, 9/4EST

Ok, so I’m a day late, sorry about that! Better late than never, right? *nervous emoji*.

So here is the start of a series for my blog I'm hoping to do called, “Adventures in Pregnancy”.

Because 1. as a mom of 3 I thought I might know a thing or two that new(er) mommas might like to know, too, without having to learn via trial by fire like I did (not trying to come off presumptuous *nervous emoji again*), and 2. *drumroll* the fact that I am 7 weeks along with #4!

I thought this would provide the perfect opportunity for you to really get to know me 🙂 Keep reading and join me on “Adventures in Pregnancy”!

We didn’t find out until I was already 3+ weeks along. For the first half of my first trimester I felt great; no nausea, I had energy, everything was good. Then I made the mistake of pointing this out to Joshua.

With our girls I remember morning sickness that came and went all throughout the day, but not this one…did that mean baby was more than likely a boy?! (Not that morning sickness only comes with girls, it’s just one of those weird things you connect in your head to try to figure out the gender 20 some weeks early lol.) #weirdthingspregnantmommasdo

Well, as I said, speaking it aloud jinxed me or something because not even a day later I felt the first wave of nausea crash over me. I couldn’t even think of stomaching my morning coffee and the only thing that sounded remotely good was some Pacific Organic Tomato Soup. I quickly put 7 containers on my shopping list because my stomach told me this was going to be my life now. *Yay! she said unenthusiastically*

We are officially announcing it to our parents today. *Happy Labor Day*! Although it is quite likely they already know as 1. I am normally fairly petite looking but having already had 3 Sweetlings my “squishy-belly” has already begun pooching out and 2. I’ve been asked, rather bluntly, “What’s that?” as my pooch is gently poked… *thanks a lot, genetics*.

So now I am plotting how to humorously tell my two best friends; my sister-cousin, Jen and sister-friend, Leanne.

With Eternity, our current youngest, we went out to lunch and at the end I had them sit together so I could get a picture of them. I then started recording them and periodically taking photos as I told them to say, “Leslie’s having a baby!” instead of “cheese!”. The looks on their faces were priceless and hysterical as what I said sunk in. So in good fun I have challenged myself to come up with an even better way to tell them before my pooch flat out gives me away.

Any ideas?
